The originally planned reconstruction of the Strašnice semi-detached house from the 1920s changed during the construction of the building into a new house. The reason was the poor technical condition of the old masonry, which did not reveal the initial surveys. The design of the new building had to be kept in the contours given by the building permit for reconstruction. The house builds on the typical original form of the semi-detached houses in the surrounding colony by the division into the main mass and the connecting neck. These are two simple square volumes with square windows, one of which is a reduced image of the other (as a parent and child). The windows are lined with wooden lining, the roof is made of titanium metal sheet. Both the house and the garden enter through the porch, which is conceived as a light wooden structure with a walking roof. The layout is based on a reconstruction plan and makes maximum use of limited space for family living. Connecting rooms on the ground floor creates an open living space, small, but functional and bright rooms on the floor. The bathrooms are located in the neck. The staircase is a prefabricated concrete monolith.
