Martin Rusina

Martin Rusina studied architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (2003) and at the Czech Technical University (2002), including also an internship at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, Germany. After nine years of practice in the Prague offices DUM architekti and Chalupa architekti he had co-worked with Marcela Steinbachová as a free-lanced architect. In 2013 he has founded his own office with Martin Frei. In 2015 he finished his postgraduate degree at the Academy Fine Arts in Prague.

Martin Frei studied architecture at the Technical University in Brno, Czech Republic in 2007. During his studies he practiced at the office of P.A.W. in Brno. In 2004 he took part at an internship at EAVT v Marne-la-Vallée in Paris, where he started to work in the office of SOA architectes in the same year. In 2010 he moved to Kyoto, Japan, to work at F.O.B. Architects. After working as a free-lance architect in Prague in 2011 he co-founded the office Rusina Frei in 2013.

Ing.arch. Markéta Poláčková

She was born in 1990 in Rakovník. In 2016, she completed her architecture studies at the FA CTU with a diploma thesis by Ondřej Císler. During her master’s program, she completed a study stay at the Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade de Lisboa in Portugal. He has been cooperating with Rusina Frei architects since 2013.

Ing. arch. Radka Milotová

In 2006 she graduated from the FA CTU in Prague in studio of Petr Hájek and Jan Šépka. She spent part of her studies at the Department of Architecture at Aalto University in Espoo, Finland. She started her architectural practice in the Vyšehrad studio, then continued her own practice. He has been working for the Rusina Frei studio since 2019.

MgA. Magdaléna Fiurášková

In 2019, she studied architecture at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design under Jan Šépka. During her studies, she completed an internship abroad at the Pontificia Universidad Católica in Chile and an interdisciplinary internship in the Furniture and Interior Design Studio of Jiří Pelcl. After graduating, she worked for several months in the architectural studio Adam Bresnick arquitectos in Madrid. She has been working as an architect at Rusina Frei since 2020.

MgA. Gabriela Sládečková

She studied architecture as part of a bachelor’s degree at the Technical University of Liberec and subsequently continued her master’s studies at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in the studio of Roman Brychta. During her studies, she participated in student internships several times, in 2017 she completed a semester at the French School of Architecture in Nantes. A year later, she worked in the Portuguese office of Murmuro, based in Porto. She spent the summer semester of 2019 at the NTUA Taiwan School in Taipei, where she studied local crafts – working with ceramics and bamboo. In 2020, she defended her diploma thesis at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, and since then she has been working for Rusina Frei architects.

MgA. Tereza Haumerová

She graduated in the studio of architecture A1 at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design under the guidance of Jan Šépka. She completed an internship at the ETH Zurich under the guidance of Mike Guyer. She returned to Switzerland for a year, where she worked mainly on school buildings at the BrandenbergerKloter Architekten studio. She has been working for Rusina Frei since 2021. She likes to spend her free time in the workshop.

Ing. arch. Jiří Valenta

Jiri graduated in 2020 from the Faculty of Architecture at TUL in Liberec. During his studies he went on work placements to HaworthTompkins studio in London and worked at ROBUST architects. During his work placement in Denmark he started working with SHE architects, with whom he continued to work after his studies.
He won 2nd place in an international teamwork competition at TUL FUA on sustainability and affordable housing and was nominated for the YOUNG AWARD ARCHITECT.
He likes the smell of wood and occasionally builds wooden buildings.

 

Ing. arch. Dominik Otto

Educated from the FA CTU in Prague in the studios of Michal Kuzemenský and Ondřej Císler, he graduated in 2022 with a design for the Czech House in Taiwan. During the school he worked at Ehl & Koumar Architects. He looks for heights in the mountains or in the cabin of a glider.
