For the planned suburban park Soutok we prepared an urban analysis of the sports and recreational potential of the landscape. It deals with a comprehensive analysis of the area in terms of its usability and development potential for sports and recreational activities. The aim of this analysis is to add another layer of information to the already prepared and to the concurrently ongoing spatial analyses. It is serving as a basis for the preparation of the overall spatial study of the future suburban park Soutok.
The underused area in the suburbs of Prague can easily be overloaded with high visitor traffic. The analysis therefore identifies four zones with different levels of intensity of use for recreation. We see the most valuable parts of the park between the rivers as an island of preserved natural landscape. It is less affected by urbanisation.
