The Old Town Hall is one of the oldest houses in Zábřeh. The building with a turbulent history has its roots in the Middle Ages. Its current appearance is the result of insensitive post-war reconstructions and a long period when the house remained useless.
After a thorough analysis of the historical and technical context, we developed a proposal for the architectural renovation of the former town hall building. During the reconstruction, the Gothic cellar, the Renaissance vaulted hall and the Baroque tower will be preserved, but the original entrance from the square and the traditional layout of the facade will also be restored. The old town hall should house a city information center and a multi-purpose hall for the needs of communal and cultural activities, but there will be also exhibition and office spaces.
