CITY PARK BY THE WATER

The Dukelská Park between Dukelská Street and Malše River is now firmly tied into the system of the city parks on the waterfront. Green spaces along the water connecting the city centre with the surrounding countryside. On the both sides of the park, there are important public buildings. For whose users it is a natural relaxation area. As the participation meetings have shown, the current form of the park does not allow its full function to be developed.

NEW KORZO

The purpose of the modifications is to create a modern park with a naturally used, lively urban corridor along the water – Dukelská Park for all generations.

Firstly, the most significant interventions in the park will be the establishment of a continuous access to the water. Secondly the re-routing of the cycle path. Therefore, near the water there is a new large rest area. The bank of the River Malše will be an urban residential waterfront between the two bridges. The steps are locally supplemented with wooden piers or pontoons. In the protection zone of the steam pipeline we propose removable wooden play elements, for example climbing frames, swings, sandboxes, seating, etc.. Wooden structure with a viewing platform and slide will cover the pumping station.
